The full Canadian Red Cross First The full Canadian Red Cross Advanced First Aid course is 80 hours, delivered over 2 weeks. The program combines advanced patient assessment, medical and trauma care, airway management, transportation and extensive practical training.
Yes. Eligible participants may renew their Advanced First Aid certification through a 40-hour recertification course. Participants must meet current Canadian Red Cross eligibility requirements to attend a recertification course.
Yes. Participants must hold a current Standard First Aid certification with CPR Level C, or higher, before beginning the Canadian Red Cross Advanced First Aid course..
Both programs provide significantly more advanced training than Standard First Aid, but they are designed for different environments.
