✓ Registration is confirmed only after full payment or an approved payment arrangement has been received.
✓ A confirmation email containing your course details will be sent immediately after registration.

✓ Course spaces are reserved on a first-paid, first-served basis.

✓ Cancellations made two or more days before the course may be transferred to another available date for a $25.00 administrative fee.

✓ If LifeShield cancels a course, participants may choose either a full refund or transfer to another available course date at no additional cost.
✓ Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original method of payment whenever possible.

✓ Before leaving home, participants should check the official NSCC Campus Closures page for the status of Ivany Campus (HRM).
✓ If NSCC Ivany Campus delays opening, LifeShield will delay opening by the same amount of time.
✓ Weather-related closures and delayed openings will also be communicated to registered participants by email. Every reasonable effort will be made to issue notifications by 7:00 a.m.
✓ If severe weather develops after training has begun, instructors will provide direction to ensure participant safety.
✓ Courses cancelled due to severe weather will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

✓ Canadian Red Cross certificates are issued upon successful completion of all course requirements.
✓ Participants must attend the full course, successfully demonstrate all required practical skills, and achieve a minimum score of 75% on the written knowledge evaluation.
✓ Certification requirements are established by the Canadian Red Cross and are subject to change.
✓ Replacement certificates are available for a $10.00 administrative fee.
✓ To qualify for recertification, participants must hold a valid equivalent or higher-level certification on the day of training. Expired certifications require full retraining.
